Stable milk performance despite heat stress


Heat stress reduces the milk performance

High ambient temperature, intensive radiation and rising humidity are a challenge for the metabolism of dairy cows. If the "thermonetrual zone" (between 4 and 16 ° C) is left, the ability to transfer the metabolic heat to the environment decreases. The consequences are lower milk performance with lower ingredients, reduced fertility and hoof health.

1. Secure feed intake

Microbial heating of feed formulation through yeast decrease feed hygiene significant, reduce palatability and thereby the total energy-intake. They inhibit yeast growth effectively, improve palatability and energetic supply with glucoplastics (blood sugar forming) substances.

 

2. Stabilizing the pH-value of blood and rumen

Increased respiratory rate, sweating and higher salivation through the heat causes substantial losses of bicarbonate, which affectes the pH-value of blood and rumen. Rindamin BP, with a special combination of buffer substances for blood and rumen, acts stabilising and supports milk ingredients.

 

3. Supporting the rumen fermentation

A recommendation for heat stress is to make the formulation rich in crude fibre significantly. The resulting disadvantage of a lower energy concentration must then be tolerated. The active ingredient complexes Rumivital and Rumivital i contained in the Rindaspzeial, Rindaminn and rindavit programs increase the digestibility of the ration and improve the energy supply of the cows.

 

4. Increase energy supply
